Frens
Gabe and Ryan have been working on this for a while, and Thursday, March 30 is the big drop. “Frens” is an open edition mint, where each piece will be unique. These mint at 0.01987 $ETH, with a free edition per Stoic held.
Astrobotany
I made great progress on the musical component of Astrobotany last week, recording new tracks with drums, a Fender Rhodes piano, and a Harmony classical guitar from the 1970s.
Want to be the first to mint? DM me on Twitter with your $ETH wallet address!
If you’re just joining us, Astrobotany is a collection of AI-generated flowers and interactive, human-generated music.
Astrobotany imagines you are a space explorer, documenting alien species of flowers you encounter. Each of these flowers is musical, and seems to be in harmony with the other flowers you and other astrobotanists have discovered. You notice that if you bring the flowers together and take care of them, their songs become more beautiful and complex.
This is in progress and will be available this summer. There will most likely be unique utility for Flower Girls and Stoics holders.
Thousandfold
Thousandfold 1-3 is now live! Get yours here for only 1 tez.
As week 1 of Thousandfold concluded, collectors noticed a second collection appear called “Thousandfold OG”. The piece they minted during the first week is now in the OG collection, and they were airdropped another version of the piece (Thousandfold 1-1) that lives in the main collection. The OG collection is where rare drops will appear for Thousandfold completists.
Friday saw the conclusion of the open edition for Thousandfold 1-2. Thanks to everyone who minted!
And as last week’s open edition concluded, Generation 2 began:
Everyone holding at least half of Generation 1 has received Thousandfold 2-1. Thousandfold 2-1 is the first piece of Generation 2, using Thousandfold 1-1 as a seed image.
Everyone holding ALL of Generation 1 has received a rarer sibling of 2-1, in the Thousandfold OG collection.
Confused? Me too. Here’s a diagram of the collection so far:
And here’s the OG collection as it stands now:
In 2 weeks, everyone who has at least half of Generation 1 will get the next piece in Generation 2 (a child of Thousandfold 1-2).
And in 3 weeks, everyone who has at least half of Generation 2 will get the first piece of Generation 3.
And every week, completists will get something rare in the OG collection.
If you’re just joining us, Thousandfold is a new collection on Tezos. It’s an AI collection, starting with a handmade screen print. There will be a new open edition of Generation 1 each week. These are at 1 tez for now, but that price may increase as we go.
Thousandfold will continue to multiply, with new generations airdropped to qualifying collectors on a regular basis. Generation 1 provides seed images for Generation 2; Generation 2 provides seed images for Generation 3, and so on.
The more of these you’ll hold, the more you’ll receive increasingly rare editions from increasingly rare collections. And if you have ALL of a particular collection or generation, you’ll get the rarest drops in the Thousandfold OG collection.
What’s with the naming convention? It’s simple. The first number is the Generation, and the second number is the number of the piece within that Generation. So Thousandfold 1-1 is the first piece of the first Generation.
Flower Girls
Big week in Flower Girls Land:
Nikki and Ryan traveled to Los Angeles for the Outer Edge NFT conference. Nikki spoke on panel discussions on NFTs and Social Impact, talking about our efforts to bring positive change through NFTs. They were met by Rainbow Mosho, Eve, and Jack Tuber, young artists in our collection who all received 0.5 $ETH grants from Flower Girls to help them attend the event.
I got the keys to our new Spatial metaverse gallery, created with Andreas of The Rocket Gallery and Ashley of Utopian Renaissance. This will allow us to display our collection of kids’ art and create new experiences for our community. I’m hanging art all over the place!
Drawing Inspirations 35 is still available, courtesy of Carol Pchillu, a 10-year-old artist from Portugal. Mint here. As always, primary and secondary sales go to the artists. Check out Carol’s Medium post on Branca Edmée Marques, the scientist from whom she drew inspiration!
Varvara has ongoing editions for sale, including The English Flower Girl (which can be burned to receive the first animated Flower Girl) and The Coin Girl, inspired by V’s early education in Web3.
The Stoics
Here’s what’s new in Stoics Land:
Gabe and Justin were working hard in LA as well, drawing pictures all over the place. Gabe held an event for Stoics on Thursday night, where he and community members got together and created new art.
Denim Coffee (co-owned by our friend HODL Bee Thy Name) started shipping their Stoics blend, giving 15% of sales to The Stoics project. We’ll use the funds to buy Stoics and offer with various promotions. Get yours!
The community-led “Stoics Teaching Stoics” series continues, with Sabet presenting this past Sunday, March 26. I’m looking forward to giving an Intro to Audio Production workshop on April 23.
There’s more to report, but this is probably enough until next time. Thanks for reading/subscribing/sharing/supporting!
